Acoustic Research, AR-5 speakers

A quick stop at the thrift store and I was able to grab these amazing AR-5s. Both are working, though I need to test them a bit more. I couldn't help myself and took the grill off of one to see what the speakers looked like; the grills are glued on!

The AR-5 is a three way speaker using a 10" woofer, a 1,5" dome midrange and a 0.75" dome tweeter.

These were manufactured in 1969 in small numbers.

Lots more on the AR-5 at Vintage Speaker Reviews.
