Three More Tips for Successful Thrifting: Smartphones for Smarties

  1. Back in the day, we had only our wits and intimate antiquing knowledge to help us get by when making a buy. Today, your smart phone is your best friend when it comes to thrifting. This is especially so if you're contemplating flipping the items you buy. So make sure you've got your phone and don't be afraid to search for your find on eBay. I'm always surprised by what sells and what doesn't, and the prices.
  2. Put that information to use! When I'm out searching for unusual items, there are many times I think I've got something valuable that turns out to be...not so much. eBay is your friend when it comes to hunting as you'll be able to get an accurate idea of the value of your find and whether you should keep it or not.

  4. Save it for later. I grab up anything and everything I'm interested in and check it on eBay for pricing before paying. I hate to think of what I might have missed by checking a price on-the-fly. I'd much rather wait until I've searched the entire store!
